Hi, I'm Terry.

I am a professional birth doula in NYC. I have been lucky enough to greet over 900 babies in my 20 year career. Most of these births have occurred in hospitals but some have been in birth centers and at home.

I grew up in Vermont, but I have lived in NYC my entire adult life. A hybrid of city and country. Crunchy but savvy. I first came to NYC to pursue my acting career. It was during this time, while singing and dancing on Broadway, that I oh, so blissfully became pregnant with my son.

Prepping for the birth became an obsession; I devoured every bit of information I could find. I was amazed and disappointed in how very little I knew about any of it. Thus began my new career and I never looked back.

My intention is to meet you where you need support, guide you to your instincts, and offer you a toolbox designed to build confidence. Through sharing practical knowledge, I aim to help diminish fears and challenge the myths built up around birth.

I am not here to tell you what to do. You should birth the way you want to, with your preferences and your style leading the way. I am here to help you be you through one of the most magical and challenging experiences of your life.

When you work with me, whether for coaching or doula care, you will find a nonjudgmental voice; a person whose whole goal is to not just help you be safer but help you feel safer as well. You will hear compassion and you will hear data. We can go slowly and gently into your feelings or run right at them. No matter what you choose, I am here to support you being you.
